170 Bangladeshi Migrants Returned from Libya

A total of 170 Bangladeshi migrants have been repatriated from Libya, according to the Bangladeshi embassy.

The group was returned from a detention centre in Qanfouda, Benghazi, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The embassy said the operation took place on 18 May, with the migrants arriving in Dhaka early the following day on a Buraq Air flight. Nineteen of those returned were reported to be in poor health.
